When a company needs to recruit or employ new people, it usually advertises the job or position in the recruitment section of a newspaper or magazine.

People who are interested can then apply for the job by sending a letter of application and a curriculum vitae containing details of their education and experience to the company.

The company will then draw up a shortlist of candidates, who are then invited to attend an interview.
