May / Might

may might

English:

I might go to tomorrow’s party, but I don’t know whether I’m invited or not. I really don’t care about going, but Samantha told me it may be a great party and I do not want to miss out. I asked her, “May I come anyways? Like, crash the party?” But she wasn’t sure. I wished I could just barge in, but I’m not that kind of person. My brother used to be like that. He could just do things. I’m always anxious about what I may do, what people might say or what might happen. I’m very self conscious about that sort of senseless never-gonna-happen stuff.

I believe that people won’t like me, maybe they will think I am annoying, they will despise me or worse. All this might seem weird, but it is something that I could never deal with. My life would be much more relaxed if I were more independent.

Samantha told me once that I should see a therapist. She told me that he might help me with my anxiety. I also thought that he could do it, but he didn’t. He did recommend that I should do some exercise, something I may follow through. Now I practice boxing every Wednesday, and it is really helping. It may not be much, but it is a starting point to my self improvement.  Besides, I only have to communicate with two other people and they don’t really care much for me. They think I’m some sort of rest between their rounds.
