Beyond the big cities, if you keep your pace past the last remnants of civilization, the mythical Roc bird soars over the highest mountain tops without ever needing to rest or stop. It is said it preys on cattle, wild animals and sometimes weak humans, either children or old people. Last year, over fifty people claim to have seen a mythical being. But this is not the only creature you can encounter. If you want to find more monsters, you have to go beyond the beaten path. You must be fearless and forget about your comforts.
One of the many creatures you can find in the woods, is the banshee, a woman like wither being, or perhaps an aged witch. Legend has it that one hour past midnight, a banshee will come and snatch lost hikers or misbehaving children.
Another monster is the troll, a hunk of muscle over five meters tall and five hundred kilos fat. He lives under bridges and grabs people by the ankles, only to devour them quickly. However, they can only come out at night, when the sun is down. Otherwise, they get converted into stone.
Finally, to end this chapter, you can catch a glimpse of dwarves. These little people don’t grow past the meter, have thick beards and like to dwell over their mountain halls, mines dug deep in the bedrock.

Mas allá de las grandes ciudades, si sigues caminando mas allá de los últimos remanentes de la civilización, la mítica ave Roc sobrevuela los picos de las montañas más altas sin siquiera parar para descansar y detenerse. Se dice que caza ganado, animales salvajes y a veces humanos débiles, sean niños o ancianos. El último año, más de cincuenta personas dijeron haber visto un ser mítico. Pero esta no es la única criatura que te puedes encontrar. Si quieres encontrar más monstruos, debes ir más allá del camino marcado. Debes ser valiente y olvidar tus comodidades.
Una de las muchas criaturas que te puedes encontrar en los bosques es la banshee, un ente espectral femenino, o quizá una bruja vieja. Las leyendas dicen que una hora después de las doce, una banshee sale a cazar mochileros perdidos o niños que se portan mal.
Otro monstruo es el trol, una masa de músculos de más de cinco metros de alto y quinientos kilos de grasa. Vive bajo los puentes y agarra a la gente de los tobillos, solo para devorarlos inmediatamente. Sin embargo, solo pueden salir a la noche, cuando el sol está bajo. De otra forma, se convierten en piedra.
Para finalizar este capítulo, puedes echarle un vistazo a un gnomo. Esta gente pequeña no crece más allá del metro, tienen barbas tupidas y les gusta vivir en las minas que cavan en la roca madre de las montañas.
