foxy

We are now going to look at a different type of question, the ‘yes/no’ question.

(Ahora vamos a ver otro tipo de pregunta, la pregunta ‘yes/no’).

Here are a few examples from the dialogue:

Do you swim every Saturday morning?
Do you go shopping with your sister?

We call them yes/no questions because the answer to these questions is always ‘yes’ or ‘no’. (Las llamamos ‘yes/no questions’ porque la respuesta a la pregunta es siempre ‘yes’ o ‘no’).

3.a. What are the answers to the following yes/no questions in the dialogue?

yes/no questions

3.b. We are now going to look at how to form these questions.

The form of the yes/no question is:

Auxiliary Verb (do) + Subject Pronoun + Verb

You can identify this parts in the questions below:

Do you swim every Saturday morning?
Do you go shopping with your sister?
Do you have a lot of homework to do at the weekend?

3.c. Put the following yes/no questions into the correct order.

- Yes I do / No I don't

Keep up the good work!.
