Good Evening, I'm Stephen
Johnson and here is the news at 10.
Earlier today a 7
year old girl was kidnapped from Lakeside Shopping Centre in Thurrock.
Tracey Jones was with her Mum shopping when she disappeared.
"We went into Toys
R Us because Tracey wanted to look at the new Barbie doll. I left
her alone for one minute whilst I went to the toilet and when I came
back she had gone. I am devastated".
"Please, if anyone
can help me, please call the telephone Number on the screen. I just
want my little girl home for Christmas!" said Sarah Jones, the mother
of Tracey.
Now moving to another
serious matter.
This morning at 11
am, Barclays Bank in High Street, Cheshunt was held up in a bank robbery.
The four robbers entered the bank through the front door. They were
dressed in jeans and a shirt and were wearing baseball hats. They
used a gun to frighten the seven workers.
As soon as they arrived
they made the two cashiers fill up four bags full of money. Luckily,
one of the workers, which was in the toilet, heard what was happening
and rang the police from his mobile telephone.
The police arrived
within fifteen minutes and took the four thieves to prison.
Now to a more positive
story…
The latest statistics
from Harringay County Council show that vandalism has decreased by
40% in the last four months. The London Borough celebrated by offering
free art classes for those adolescents between the ages of 11-19.
